Who is Fortissimo?
A note from the Owner of Fortissimo, Sharon Scheminske:
“For several years, I was deeply involved in local community service while taking care of my family in a traditional mom role. The pandemic shut down all opportunities to serve my community, and it became clear to me that our whole society was suffering the ill effects of isolation. I yearned for a way to influence the healing of this social trauma. In the summer of 2021, I came across an opportunity to purchase my local neighborhood bar. The bar was ultimately sold to a different buyer, and I took some time to daydream about how I could impact a recovering society using a bar/entertainment space. With a musical background, live music was an obvious choice for me, but I am also adamant that people need more comedy in their lives. My most memorable experiences with music and comedy come from spending time at the downtown Denver dueling piano bar, SingSing, in the late 1990s and early 2000s. As I remembered how much fun it was, I immediately knew this concept was worth updating with a roaring 20s vibe for our post-pandemic society. I want to live and work in the world of music and comedy, and I want to share it with you. I’m so excited to welcome the Denver community into the Fortissimo space so I can share this dream and vision with you! So sit back and enjoy the laughs, libations, and lowdown. We can’t wait to welcome you in!”

Andrea Joy Studzinski10 August 2024I did not have food here, but the cocktails were standard priced and tasty. You're really going for the atmosphere, which is 10/10. The performers are amazing and hilarious and the show gets more unhinged the later it goes, and it's just a delight. I will be back again. Can't believe it took so long to go in the first place.Bob Scheffler6 August 2024Stopped there before a show at Buel. Great service, not crowded, bartender was fast and friendly. Came back after the show, was packed, live music, missed any desserts, but was a great experience.Sherry Paschal2 August 2024Great fun celebrating my daughter's 33rd birthday. All the Piano Guys were quite talented and entertaining! The food was great!Sherry Hartman27 July 2024Fun time with a Christmas in July theme! We were able to get in on a Friday and our server, Shyla, was outgoing and attentive. She recommended a Jessie’s Girl which was a perfect summer drink. The happy hour pianist was delightful with an array of tunes to accommodate our musical tastes. Highly recommend checking it out.
